Time for a trip!
As easy as it can be to get caught up in the fun of a Montreal summer, it turns out the rest of the country is pretty amazing too. In fact, there are a ton of places considerably close to the city that guarantee a change of scenery and an amazing vacation weekend. So much so, that we’ve compiled a list of the top 5 places outside Montreal you have to hit for a quick trip this weekend.
The Laurentians Hiking Trail – Gatineau, Quebec
The Laurentians are one of Ontario and Quebec’s most famous (and lengthy) set of mountains. Spanning from Ottawa to passed Tremblant, these hills are a site to see – especially from the amazing lookout in Gatineau Quebec. Best yet, you can make a day of it by hiking from the bottom of the trail, rewarding yourself with the amazing view and picnic at the top!
Tremblant Village – Mont Tremblant, Quebec
Who would’ve known that the famous ski resort is just as great of an experience during the summer? Tremblant’s village does not loose its charm, no matter the season. With mountain biking trails, spa days, kayaks/paddle boards, and some of the province’s premier swimming holes, this stop must be on your radar this summer.
The Muskokas – Muskoka, Ontario
Although a slightly further venture, if you have not yet been, The Muskokas are worth a trip. This world-renowned location has grown famous for its natural beauty, attracting celebrities and nature-lovers alike. From Glamping to fishing, the Muskokas has activities and events to suit your preferences, no matter what type of weekend you’re looking for.
